2-day assembly training at your facility

Flexpipe’s training sessions are intended for lean manufacturers across North America. Flexpipe trainers will spend 2 days at your company. Your team members will learn how to use the Flexpipe system, so they start assembling the parts on the right foot.

Future Flexpipe designers and assemblers will be able to put their creative skills to use, and confidently build structures that are safe and study. We provide relevant and concise information about the Flexpipe system, so its integration in your business is as smooth as possible.

Please read below for an overview of our training sessions. We will cover the following:

  • At the end of the training, what should my team members be able to do?
  • What’s the training schedule?
  • Who should attend?
  • How much does it cost and what’s included?
  • What material do I need?
  • Who does the training?
  • How soon can you come to my facility?
  • How should I prepare?
  • How do I book a training session?

At the end of the training, what should my team members be able to do?

We will make sure to infuse your team with creativity and confidence so they can make full use of the system.

  • Design and draw structures with our 3D software
  • Calculate loading capacity and learn various bracing techniques
  • Assemble a structure
  • Know which tools and equipment are required

What’s the training schedule?

Our Flexpipe trainer will assemble actual structures with your team during the 2 days. The training session is tailored to your needs while covering the topics listed below.

Once the training session has been booked, we will contact you to see if there is a specific topic on which we need to focus, as well as answer any other questions you might have.

  • Module 1 – Presentation of the modular system (2 hrs)
  • Module 2 – Introduction on how to assemble structures (2-3 hrs)
  • Module 3 – Kaizen blitz to plan and assemble a new structure (3-6 hrs)
  • (A Kaizen blitz is a process of concrete, simple and inexpensive improvements made in a very short amount of time.)
  • Module 4 – 3D computer design to standardize structures (4-6 hrs)
  • Module 5 – Kaizen blitz #2 to modify and improve structures previously built (2-3 hrs)
  • Module 6 – Conclusion (1 hr)

Who should attend?

To make the integration of this new system easier, you’ll want to involve, and get as many people as possible on board. That way, everyone will be on the same page. This will facilitate the process and also reduce change resistance possibilities.

  • maintenance workers
  • continuous improvement specialists
  • manufacturing engineers
  • project managers
  • tool designers
  • creative employees!

How soon can you come to my facility?

You can expect to have your training session within approximately 1 month. Please contact the project manager in your region to schedule the date of our visit to your facilities.

How should I prepare?

Don’t worry, no homework or studying is involved before the training. We’ve made sure our training is easy and worry free!

  1. Designate 1 to 8 potential Flexpipe assemblers/designers.
  2. Select the location where you want to integrate Flexpipe equipment.
  3. Prepare the training space: ideally a 12’ X 12’ area, equipped with working tables.
  4. Put aside or buy necessary tools such as a band saw, hexagonal wrench and caster wrench.

How do I book a training session?

The booking process can easily be done by contacting the project manager from your area.

After building the pipe crib, and trying to design and build my first project alone, I found the training to be the tipping point for me, where I went from just putting pipes together, to designing effective solutions.
